Maths Games Library's First Birthday
25th February 2009
Amazingly it is the 1st birthday of our Maths Games Library and it is still going strong. Of course we had to have a party. Lots of our children and parents joined the staff for cake and refreshments and we all sang Happy Birthday. We have lots of new games. All donations from the refreshments will go to supplement our library further. Our Maths Library has been nominated for the TES award for Outstanding Numeracy Initiative.
Our new maths games, many kindly purchased for us by Friends of Titchmarsh School Even our yummy cake was donated by Mrs Findlay's husband! We have sung Happy Birthday to our Maths Library and Mrs Stopps begins cutting the cake. Don't forget to blow the candle out! Waiting for a slice of cake. The cake is slowly disappearing as hungry pupils gather for a slice after a long day at school. We were delighted at how many people helped to celebrate the Maths library's birthday. Now you see it.... "Hiya Nana, look what I got!" Enjoying the cake whilst looking at the games. Look at all the new games! "I am saving some cake for later!" "If I crouch down maybe they won't see me with my second piece of cake." "We can't wait to play with our new games next week." "I'm reserving this one!"
