This term, Year1 have been thinking about Ourselves. In literacy we have been learning about Poetry and rhyming words. We decided to create a school poem, so we wrote down sentences about our school and thought about what words we could use to make our sentences rhyme.

Titchmarsh Primary School Poem

We love to play all day long

In assembly we sing a song,

Owlets, years 1, 2, 3 and 4

We all play together and have fun galore.

House teams getting house points all day,

I'm a Birch

I'm a Cedar

I'm a Maple

I'm an Oak

And I'm a Sycamore!

We look after everyone and everything,

We are an Eco school.

We love Mrs Milton and all our teachers too

We have fun learning and playing

at Titchmarsh Primary School.

By Year 1

With Halloween coming we decided to bring some magic into the class room.

Year1 created a spooky spell.

Pumpkins, ghosts, skeltons too

Rain, slugs, snail and glue

Witches making pumpkin stew.

Igadee Pigadee Zigadee Zoom!

Abracadabra and there's a full moon.

The wizards are making a spooky spell with a broom.

What do all good wizards and witches need?

A magical wand!

We all created a magical wand using paper art straws and lots of different coloured paper. Some wrapped the paper round the straw and some stuck bits of paper on. 

To finish our wands we added some magical glitter to give our wands a bit of extra sparkle!

During the second half of this term, Year1 will be Walking with Dinosaurs!!!
