Africa Day

As part of our Connecting Classrooms project with the British Council, teachers from Kenya and South Africa came to Titchmarsh to learn about our lovely school and to talk to our children about their countries and schools.

Africa Day, Tuesday 23rd Janaury 2007.
We prepared for the arrival of our African guests by having an Africa Day. We learned lots about Kenya and South Africa through reference books, stories and the internet. We also donated money to Unicef's Day for Change which raises money for Schools in Kenya.

South Africa Day, 29th January 2007 and Kenya Day 1st February 2007.

Our friends from Cape Town, South Africa and Nairobi came to visit. They told us all about their schools and we showed them around our school and they watched us work. We had two lovely days!
