School Council Meeting

MINUTES

Monday 21^st April 2008

1. Present:

All present

2. Apologies:

None needed

3. Minutes from last meeting:

· TW is the only person to look at minutes on website. All SC will look tonight.

· Bird Feeders- To be purchased by Mr Hazell, funded by FOTS.

· Easter Egg Hunt was a big success. SC enjoyed it thoroughly and would like this to be an annual event. SC would like to thank RK & FOTS.

· Buddy Bench- A sign is being made and will be paid for by FOTS also.

4. Suggestion Box:

· Poppy and Daniel asked for a water butt. SC agreed to fund a water butt from SC funds raised at the cake stall.

5. Cake Stall

· JM congratulated SC on the success of the Cake Stall. Over £70 was raised. Some of this would go to pay for water butt.

· JM wondered if we should mention the next cake stall to PWS & OKCMS students coming off the bus so that they know it is happening.

6. Next Fundraising Event

· SC agreed to hold a bookstall along side The ECO council nearly new sale.

· JM informed SC that the library could not stock books that are over 10 years old. This feels very wasteful as many of the books are in excellent condition and not out of date. SC felt it would be a great way to recycle books and raise funds.

· SC offered to help JM to stick label on books chosen for sale.

7. Fundraising appeal

· Water butt

· Shelter for the field (to be discussed at next meeting)

8. A.O.B.

· JM offered a house point to anybody who downloaded their minutes for this meeting from the website.
