Photographs were taken of all school councillors, including Mrs Milton.

·        Suggestion Box:

1.     Molly thought there should be more clubs when there is not a staff meeting. 10 SC felt there were enough clubs; however TW thought drama club would be great. JM will discuss this with staff. However there is a very full timetable of staff meetings.

2.    Molly thought there should be more work done on the garden and to have people around. SC agreed and this will be actioned in Spring term as this is a seasonal activity. Visitors are welcome but they must be CRB checked to work with children. JM to discuss with Mrs Stopps.

3.    Molly thought that Year3&4 should have fountain pen lessons. This needs to be discussed with class teacher.

4.    Molly also thought there should be more suggestions in the suggestion box. All school councillors agreed. JM will thank Molly for her pertinent and well thought out suggestions.

5.    Molly thought we should have artists come round to work with us and look at our work. All SC thought this was a good idea and JM will investigate.

6.    Francesca would like more play equipment. SC to come to next meeting with suggestions as to what equipment is needed.

7.    Katie would like a Mufty day. Everybody thought this was an excellent way to raise money and would be discussed in next agenda item.

8.    Connie thought an Art day would be great. All agreed and it was decided that our summer term activity day would have an art focus.

·        Fundraising activities

School councillors thought the following would be good fund raising events;

1.     Mufty Day (KC)

2.    Cake stall (ED)

3.    Ice cream stall with Mrs Swan again (T&AW)

4.    Raffle (KC)

5.    Crazy Hair day (AR)

It was decided to have a fundraising event every half term and money raised would go to NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) and playground equipment for school. The first fundraising event will be on 8th February 2008. To be discussed at next meeting, Friday 18th January.
