Sep 11th Opened school again today. 4 children from London admitted - they have not been evacuated under the official scheme but have come to stay with relatives during the war.

Sep 18th Received from the office ( Mr(?) Abbott brought it) celophane stripping for wartime protection of windows.

Sep 19th Nurse visited and inspected all children present.

Sep 21st S.A.O visited.

Oct 4th S.A.O visited.

Oct 17th Dentist visited this afternoon. All children had lessons in the junior room.

Oct 19th S.A.O visited.

Oct 27th School doctor visited this afternoon. All work had to be carried on in the junior room. In accordance with special war regulations, for teacher's half term, Miss Knowles had the afternoon off, and she is allowed Monday off duty. Mrs Brown began duty here in Miss Knowles absence.

Oct 30th Miss Knowles still off duty for half term. Mrs Brown here today acting as infant teacher in Miss Knowles absence.

Oct 31st Miss Knowles ceased duty here today.

Nov 1st Mrs L.E. Brownbegan supply duty here in the infant room.

Nov 3rd Headmistress goes off at noon for half term break (according to regulations from the office).

Nov 3rd Acting upon instructions received from the office, I. Evelyn Ireson, took charge of the school from noon today.

Nov 6th Miss Skinner returns to school today after half term (special war arrangement of teacher's half term).

Dec 22nd School closed at noon today for Christmas holidays. Holiday shortened owing to evacuee problem in County.
