In Science, we have been learning about light. We investigated how light travels in a straight line. We used that fact to build our own periscopes. We had great fun sending messages to each other!
For our Black History celebration, each class learnt about a significant black woman. We learnt about the life and works of Maya Angelou. Each class created a video to highlight the achievements of their chosen heroine. We then completed some writing based on their lives.
In PE, we have been learning how to keep our bodies fit. We learnt how to keep our muscles strong, increase stamina, develop speed and improve our lung capacity. Our favourite lesson was skipping!

West End in Schools came into deliver a dance workshop on The Enormous Crocodile by Roald Dahl. All children took part, exploring the plot and the characters. Even staff took part! It was a great start to the week!
We had great fun in Science this week. We were investigating irreversible reactions. Mrs Campbell mixed warm milk with vinegar to make plastic! It smelt horrible, but once it had dried we could see it was a casein plastic. We also made a balloon inflate using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar.
This afternoon, the school nurses team came into to talk to us about our wellbeing and mindfulness.
