Trip to Dr Montague's Allotment

In September 2010 the Eco Team, Gardening Club and children from year 3 and year 4 visited Dr Montague's allotment. We spent an enjoyable afternoon looking at vegetables, fruits and seeds. We also harvested potatoes and fruits and found out how the compost works!

Dr Montague talked about the history of the area and showed us artefacts he had found whilst digging his allotment. An enjoyable time was had by all.

We helped more people gain access to clean water and safe sanitation with our ECO Sponsored Fun Run on Thursday 22nd April 2010.Clean water is essential for life, but one in eight of the world's population do not have access to it. Click on the icon to find out how we raised money for WaterAid!

January 2009 Cake sale

The ECO Action Team organised a cake stall during our book fair. Our parents and friends baked and donated some amazingly delicious cakes and cookies to sell. The cake sale was then very well attended. We raised a fantastic £116. The money will go towards a picnic bench for the playground. Thank you for your generosity.

Earlier in the day, the ECO Action Team and the School Council attended a talk about habitats and feeding tables by Les Man. They bought a feeding table, bird boxes and hedgehog habitats with proceeds from their fund raising.

November 2008 Nearly-New toy sale

The ECO Action Team organised a Nearly-New toy sale in the school hall. It was very well attended and lots of lovely toys donated by the parents of the school were bought. They raised £60.90 which will go towards a picnic bench. Many thanks to every body for donations, help and support.
