The boundaries have been agreed and we are now working with the church to create a community garden. Mrs Bussens would have been delighted with this!
June 2011

The first planning meeting for the Wildlife Garden was held at school. It was attended by Mrs Stopps, Mrs Milton, Mrs Gambrell along with Dr Montague and Vice chair of the School Governors, Mr Shapland. Lots were discussed including the location and name of our wildlife garden. It will be situated next to the boundary with the church, encompassing the "ha-ha". Therefore there will be 6 different habitats; limy pasture land; north facing slope; wet marshy; brushwood; ancient wall and hedgerows. It will be called the Bussens Wildlife Garden in memory of our dearly missed governor, Mrs Jean Bussens who died in April 2011.

Finally after several years of planning, Mrs Stopps and the ECO team with the help of Dr Montague, Mrs Gambrell, Mrs Gill and Mrs Milton are beginning to organise the construction of our Wildlife Garden. We have received sponsorship from Sing and Sign, Lakeview Veterinary Centre, Thrapston and Jitterbug Toys.co.uk with resources from Dodson and Horrell, as well as a massive £1000 grant from the Extended Schools Fund!
