Some brilliant RE produced by our Year 5 children today.  This half term children are exploring the question Was Jesus the Messaih?

Today we celebrated our Harvest Festival.  We took donations of food for our local community and performed songs to thank God for all of the food we have to eat.  Bibles were given to  the children in Owlets which is a Titchmarsh tradition at the Harvest Festival Service.

This week the Church Council have been helping to raise funds for Children in Need by  selling Children in Need merchandise.

In Owlets we have been learning that belonging to a religious group is a bit like belonging to a family.  If you belong to a religious group you all believe the same or similar things.  We began by thinking about our families and how special they are to us all but that they are all different and that is fine.  After that we thought about the different ‘families’ that we belong to – our own families, our Titchmarsh Church of England Primary School family and any clubs we are part of.  We learnt that all the religious family groups are different and have different beliefs.  To show that they are different they have different symbols. We enjoyed making symbols to represent some religions.
